It was an accepted fact that Beatrice Maybrick, owner and operator of the Maybrick Literary Agency, accidentally fell to her death. Or did she? Esme Timmons thought not, her suspicions fueled by a letter she received from Beatrice following the tragic incident. Faced with this dilemma, Esme takes steps to find the killer.
Meanwhile, Detective Chief Inspector Alistair Fitzjohn commences his investigation into the suspicious death of entrepreneur, Preston Alexander. With robbery ruled out as the motive, Fitzjohn is drawn to Preston’s investment portfolio and the Maybrick Literary Agency.

Finding an antiquated establishment where uncertainty prevails following the demise of its owner, Beatrice Maybrick, Fitzjohn asks himself two questions. Why did the high flying investor, Preston Alexander, invest in such a business, and did it lead to his death?

Jill Paterson is best known for her popular Fitzjohn mysteries. The first book in the series, The Celtic Dagger, was published in 2010 by New Holland Publishers after Jill came second in the 2008 New Holland Publishers & NSW Writers Centre Genre Fiction Award. Since then, through Amazon, she has independently published its second edition along with four further books in the series.

Jill has also authored two non-fiction books entitled Self Publishing-Pocket Guide and Writing-Painting A Picture With Words.

Jill lives in Australia with her musician husband and bossy cat, Fergus. Her favorite pastimes, when not writing, are painting and photography. If you would like to know when Jill's next book comes out, please visit her blog, The Perfect Plot, at http://www.theperfectplot.blogspot.com, where you can sign up to receive an email about new releases.

I have read Jill's first four books in the Fitzjohn series and enjoyed them all.
Deadly Ivestment arrived on my Kindle this morning and am looking forward to reading it also. I recommend all of Jill's books to anyone who enjoys a Sherlock Holmes kind of mystery. You can find all of Jill's books on Amazon. Jill is an experienced writer who can keep you guessing "whodunnit" until the very last pages.
