These are great! I think "Damn it's dark down here" is a great one for someone who was a practical jokester all his/her life!

Thanks Stephanie...I think I found these funny mostly because I have insisted the kids put "Mama" on my headstone. That's what they all still call me. I think I'm going to go ahead and buy my own to make sure since my Grandmother gave me a plot in our family cemetery over 50 years ago. :)

These are hysterical. Good old Fred..haha. Love Rodney Dangerfield's most of all. He was pretty funny.

Yes Barb...Rodney with those bulging eyes was funny and this was one of his favorite sayings. Merv Griffin's too. I suppose they know what they were noted for. :)

This makes me want to go read more gravestones to see what they say! Interesting (and funny) to see people's last words so to speak. :) Thanks for sharing!

Jessica...I love to roam old cemeteries to check out the headstones. There are some amazing old statues in some of them. This past year my best friend and I took photos in the ritzy old cemetery in Houston where a lot of the old rich are interred including Howard Hughes and his family. There are lots of beautiful angels and mausoleums and it's huge. Quite interesting.

What an ingenious way to end 2015. These are great! I don't peruse cemeteries, but I'm thinking now that I should. Not without a camera though! Happy New Year, Anna.

Thanks Grace! By all means be sure and take a camera when you visit old cemeteries. There is some serious art to photograph in a lot of them. On a visit to New Hampshire to see my son we visited some really old graveyards and they were very interesting.
