Winter Doldrums On The Deck

I've been in the winter doldrums a bit after my summer deck garden shriveled away so thought I would post some of my summer photo's I took while it was in it's prime.
I often leave my camera out there during the day just in case a photo op comes along.
Mother Nature sometimes sends some.

Now I feel better remembering what I have to look forward to in a couple of months after a "little" work. Hopefully more of Mother Nature's photo ops.

Great way to remind yourself (and us) that spring is coming. It may be a while, but it's coming!

Just gorgeous! It's been gloomy here in Florida so these have certainly picked me up. That very first picture is warming, Just love the warmth coming from the colors!

You are such a great photographer! Wow! Keeping your camera outside is definitely a good idea- look at the shots you were able to capture. Beautiful! Plies, I love the reminder that we will be seeing these things again before too long. :)

Thank you Zoe, Stephanie, Barb, and Jess, for visiting and commenting. Happy you liked the photos. I love to share them when they are good. I'm just an amateur photographer but thanks to digital cameras I can keep snapping in hopes of catching a good one and sometimes I do. It did make me feel better looking them up and posting and being reminded that Spring will be here again soon thanks to the ever evolving seasons, all of which are wonderful in their own way.

Dang, girl. Your photos are fantastic. I especially love the red cardinal with the red columbine flower. What a perfect color-echo. And then the blue jay with the blue stripe on the bowl, another perfect color-echo. Your gardenia and plumeria make me envy your climate. I must get me a plumeria plant this spring. And speaking of spring, I sure hope it hurries up. :)

Thanks Grace, I'm more than ready for Spring too though our Winter hasn't been all that bad yet. Those are doves which we always have a lot of, I have Blue Jays come around but they are really skittish and hard to capture with the camera. Maybe this year. Eager to see what your beautiful garden will look like this year.

Thanks for visiting Crystal...I'm ready also. My birthday is on the first day of Spring, March 20th...I don't look forward to getting a year older but knowing Spring has sprung is worth it.
